THE NINETEENTH ANNUAL ANTHONY HECHT POETRY PRIZE

The winner of the nineteenth annual Anthony Hecht Poetry Prize, announced by our judge on March 30th, is Julia Thacker’s All the Flowers Are for Me. Ms Thacker will receive a purse of $3,000 and her collection will be published by Waywiser on March 11 2025, when she and Mr Muldoon will read from their work at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, DC.

Twenty four entrants made it to the last stages of the contest, and nine went forward to Mr Muldoon. Poems from most of these twenty-four collections, and biographiocal notes about their authors, can now be read at: 19th Hecht Prize results.
